Lots and Nothing

A Memorial Day indeed. So much I have to say, but not much wanting to blog about it. I wish that I was closer to my family. I am grateful for the family I have close to me here.

We have been super busy and I am hoping once school is out things will slow down so I can actually post some fun family pictures of the stuff we've been doing.

I don't want to say "Happy" Memorial Day, but I am thankful for those that have given their lives to fight for our freedom. Memorial Day has been a day of remembrance for me. I am grateful for what I have.

It's Go Time...

I am training for a triathlon. I am scared, worried, nervous, but sure that I will at least give it my all and complete it. I know that I will get out of my workouts what I put in to them. There's something very powerful about when you've worked your body to it's limits. A great sense of accomplishment. I have set goals for each workout (I am trying to be more visual with my goals...thanks Ann, it's working!!) and I have committed to doing something 6 days a week. I've trimmed a lot of the "fat" out of my diet and up-ed my activities. So, I guess I am in training right now. Some of us from work are preparing for the race. It's in September at Juab. I am really excited that I have something this big to help me focus. I am feeling that self-determination coming back. I am feeling that "maybe I can do this" coming back. I am feeling more and more confident every day. (And the weight loss is a plus too!!) When I think I am done, I give 10% more and finish on a high note.

Lately life has been busy as the kids are wrapping up the school year, B is adjusting nicely to her braces, and they boys are ALWAYS outside enjoying the weather. We all experienced the first sun burns of the season, with more to come, I am sure. I am loving life. I am finding myself again, and it's feeling great.

Here's some pictures from the zoo. Kev's parents got us a zoo pass for Christmas last year and we finally went. The pass is good for 1 year from the 1st use. So, we've got some good zoo time coming our way! And from the looks on the kids faces with every animal we saw, we'll be using the pass often. We had a great time as a family and it was so fun to see how excited the kids were to see all of the animals. I love going to the zoo. So do my kids. The bird show was great too, as it is every time we go. I am always so grateful when we get to make such fun memories as a family.

It sure feels like we've been around the world. It's been a buys few weeks. I will have to post more pictures tomorrow, but here's some of what we've been up to:
1. Me and the girls put on a successful Boutique and we managed to sell a good amount of jewelry.
2. Lots of "out-side" time.
3. A trip to the Zoo
4. Workouts
5. House cleaning
6. Mountain of laundry..really a mountain.
7. Working
8. Trip to the new Walmart
9. New Fish
10. Hannah Montana movie with my date B.
And to round it out...

A morning at the dentist w/ B so she could get her braces on.
Isn't she cute! She's been a real trooper!
